Ben Anderson

Co-initiator of Good Work

Benedict Anderson’s practice spans design, architecture and public art. He cofounded Good Work Productions with Isabelle Schad and Bruno Pocheron in conceiving and realizing its productions. He has worked in many different universities including Bauhaus Dessau and University of Innsbruck, lectured extensively as an invited speaker including Prague Quadrennial, Lebanon American University and Istanbul Technology University and exhibited in major exhibitions including Cartier Fondation Paris, Laboral Asturias and ARCO Spain. He most recently held the position of Professor of Spatial Design, University of Technology Sydney. His current publication Buried City, Unearthing Teufelsberg, Berlin and its Geography of Forgetting (Routledge) reviews Berlin’s post-destruction period focuses on sites of forgetting, the concept of buried cities, vagrancy and its occupation of space, and excavations of the urban through human geography. He is working on a new book The City in Geography on the past, present and future of cities relationship to geography.
