Living Archive encompasses a variety of formats that responds to the idea of documenting, preserving and enhancing works created in the past by testing different ways of reactivation and giving them their own timeless and ongoing presence.
Living Archive aims at exploring strategies and methodologies to re-arrange existing material, knowledge and experience and to make them resonate with the present moment in a meaningful way.
The underlying idea here is that of an “ecology of knowledge” which seems to have gained more relevance under the pandemic circumstances: in a time in which we were/are not able to work as we want and usually do, we focus, value and transform what is already there.
It is an archive that lives in the present.
